Denver’s own Sqwerv invite you to the table with Hors d’Oeuvres, a three-part indie-psych-rock journey that blends  indie grit, funk groove, and psychedelic exploration. First released across 2024 as a series of EPs, this project now comes together as a unified listening experience—an appetizer plate of sounds that set the stage for the band’s next full-length album.

Recorded in their living room studio, Hors d’Oeuvres captures an organic, “soothing psych” feel—equal parts intimate and expansive. Across tracks like “Miami,” “Honolulu Blue,” “Majk,” and “Croc Stomp,” Sqwerv weave immersive grooves, late-night textures, and improvisational spirit into something uniquely their own.

Since forming in Denver in 2017, Sqwerv have carved out a sound that sits comfortably between the worlds of indie psych-rock and the jam circuit, pulling from classic influences while pushing forward with a fresh, modern edge. Hors d’Oeuvres is more than a record—it’s a window into the band’s homegrown creativity and their ever-expanding sonic universe.
